Bold predictions about DigitalMigration.

1. In a few months' time, almost all Kenyans "complaining or not", will be having set boxes in their house.

2. Kenyans will finally start appreciating digital signalling for its quality and variety in programming.

3. NTV, Citizen, KTN blablabla... will no longer be the in-thing,as better programmes will spring up locally "The cost of setting up a digital TV station is approximately Ksh.1 million".

4. On the above point, we will be able to see crazy TV stations, some individually owned, eg predictably GOR TV, Kenya EPL TV, Jackal News TV, Robert Alai TV, Ingwe TV, etc... owing to ease of setting up one.

5. Advertisers wont look for NTV, KTN, Citizen as the main content providers, rather all providers would equally compete.

6. Many news anchors will start their own TV stations and host their shows"including the untapped talents".

7. Employment rates will go down a bit owing to the number of TV stations absorbing manpower.

8. Over 100 TV stations will spring up,some showing EPL matches to get an edge "local content is free to air, remember?"

9. TV stations will shift business to the social media. If you so love it, you have a base,go set your TV station.

10. All media students would agree with me on all the above.

In my opinion, let everybody 'vuka boda'. This will ensure all citizens get the content they deserve "and not advertisement filled programming, popularly seen at the moment". It will also mean that the gov't gets tax to work out projects they need to. What's more? Many people would be enlightened "we lack
information people!!!!!!!".

I boldly predict, that we will be having over 100 quality TV stations in Kenya in less than 2 years. Judge me in 2016.
